Bonga Foods :: creating brighter futures

Superfood Yogurt & Berry Parfait | Bongo Foods

The Bonga Foods has an inspiring story that we wanted to share. The company’s mission to to empower women and children throughout the world, support local harvesters and encourage the sustainability of the Baobab tree in Sub-Saharan Africa through the fair and emetic trade of the Baobab fruit.

Baobab No Sugar Added Superfood Chews

The Baobab Tree, meaning Tree of Life, produces the Baobab super fruit that’s full of antioxidants, vitamin C and minerals. There are two tasty Baobab products you can choose from, and we hope you enjoy them as much as we did!

The all-natural Superfood Chews is a nutritious snack to take anywhere you go. The four types of chews include mango, strawberry, raspberry and pomegranate, so each cube is full of flavor. These packs are an easy snack to curb sugar cravings. They are available at Whole Foods, you can choose from the 4-oz ($10.99) or 12-oz ($35.99) packs. “Bongo” means gratitude, you should check out their website and story of how they’re supporting sustainable harvesting and giving back.

I really have a thing for tart foods, I like fruit that’s not quite ripe so it’s sour and sour candy is my weakness. I’m impressed how good these taste. And I love that the ingredient list is real food: Pomegranate, Apple Purée, Apple Juice, Organic Baobab Fruit Pulp, Black Carrot Juice (didn’t know that was a thing!), Rice Flour & Vegetable Oil.

In addition to being healthy and tasty, I adore the packaging!

Bonga Foods Pomegranate

The second product to try is the Baobab Superfood Powder. It has a light, tangy flavor and you can add it to smoothies, oatmeal, yogurt and other foods. The product is available in 12-oz canisters ($22.50) and 15-count packet cases ($39.99).

I have had it in a few different smoothie combos. Blueberry, banana, greek yogurt and Baobab Superfood Powder was my favorite.
