Do you have a standard gift that you give to mom every year for Mother’s Day and her birthday? Or are you the type who scrambles at the last minute, wondering if Mother’s Day came earlier this year? I fall more into the first category. It’s sort of become my thing that I buy my mom a bottle of perfume for Mother’s Day. It’s a fun gift because it’s something she can enjoy all year long. Plus, it’s nice to buy a gift that she really wants and might not feel like splurging on.

My mom is a creature of habit. So much so, that when she finds a perfume she likes, there’s a chance she will move one of hers out of rotation. A perfume minimalist perhaps? A month or so ago, she said, “I’m almost out of perfume, but I don’t want to get another one since I know you’ll be getting me one soon.”

Fortunately, she and I live very close and have a similar taste in perfume. So, it’s not uncommon for a pretty glass perfume bottle to be shared by both of us.
