Flywheel, a high-energy indoor cycling sensation that started in New York, is taking Texas by storm with locations in Highland Park and Plano. I recently tried out one of the cycling classes, and it’s just the workout to whip you into shape!
Flywheel first arrived in Texas in 2012 with the opening of a Highland Park location and expanded in January 2013 with a second Dallas-area location in Plano. The growth continues with the addition of FlyBarre at Plano, and the phenomenon is expected to continue as Co-Founder and Creative Director Ruth Zukerman spreads her passion for fun, empowering, authentic fitness across the state and the nation.
“We are thrilled to introduce the FlyBarre experience to Plano and Dallas-area residents,” says Zukerman. “By combining the intense cardio of Flywheel and the toning and strengthening of FlyBarre, the Plano studio will offer a unique boutique fitness experience unlike any other.”
The company now introduces FlyBarre, and these classes will start the week of Sept. 23 at the Plano location. FlyBarre is a total body sculpting class that blends the best of light weight training, dance, and core strengthening exercises. Unlike typical barre classes, FlyBarre incorporates more cardio with pulsating movements for a better and more effective workout.
To celebrate the arrival of FlyBarre in Texas, the Plano location will host a week-long open house with free Flywheel and FlyBarre classes throughout Sept. 23 – 29. Flywheel is also currently giving Facebook fans the chance to “Fly Free for a Year” by winning a FREE one-year membership, good for classes at both the Plano and Highland Park locations.
