Have you heard the saying about someone who wears many hats? On some days I feel like I’m the girl who wears many shoes. In one day I can go from business shoes, to gym shoes, cute flats and maybe back into my business shoes. My schedule is fairly flexible, but I do often have meetings in various places.
I’d say one of the major perks in the flexibility of my schedule is being able to have mid-day gym time. I’ve been to my local gym during rush hour and I can definitely say that’s not my favorite. I live very close to the gym, but I’ve often found if I stop back by my house I can get distracted by emails, laundry or something else around the house. On the days that I know that I have a media event or business meeting that will keep me busy most of the day, I like to pack a bag with my wardrobe changes for the day.
The Ame & Lulu Easy Tote is the perfect size to house all of the things I like to take with me for a mid-day wardrobe change. If I’m feeling ultra prepared I’ll pack the night before. In this instance I had my tennis shoes, my new VSX Sport sports-bra, workout capris from Lorna Jane, a t-shirt, socks, and a light-weight jacket.
My Ame & Lulu set also came with an Essentials Insert and Key Pouch. As the name suggests, I have a few essentials tucked away in the Essentials Insert. For mid-day makeup refresh I have mascara, eyeliner, BB cream & Baby Lips. I also like to carry face wipes and deodorant with me. I don’t know about you but I hate the feeling of makeup on my face when I start sweating at the gym. So I use Yes to Cucumber wipes to remove the BB Cream or Foundation I’m wearing so that my skin can breathe.
A funny benefit I’ve noticed, having this bag makes me much less likely to leave my work clothes and shoes in the back of my car. I was in the habit of taking a tiny bag with my gym clothes to change into and then leaving my shoes and jacket in the car. Three days later when I had a meeting I’d search everywhere for my jacket then finally remember it’s in my car! See here I am bringing my stuff back with me inside. It’s the small victories in life that matter!
I love all of the patterns that Ame & Lulu pieces come in, I ended up with Wish because I firmly believe Black & White match everything. At 14″ x 21″ I can fit quite a bit inside the tote. If I need to go somewhere after the gym I can fit my rollers and blow-dryer inside. I haven’t asked around, but there’s a chance I have the world’s largest blow dryer. It works great, but it’s kind of ginormo!
I’ve mostly been using my tote for day-to-day use but I know it will make a great weekend bag!
