Do you celebrate dating or engagement “anniversaries” after you got married? This week is our Engagement-very, and last month would have been 7 years since we started dating. So, in theory we could celebrate in November, December and April (our wedding anniversary). Sounds like a lot of good excuses to plan anniversary dates!
Whether you’re celebrating dating/wedding/or anniversaries, it’s only natural to want to make each year’s celebration better than the last, but eventually you may feel you’re running out of ideas. These date ideas will help you make each anniversary memorable in its own unique way!
A Picnic
Take your love out on a picnic! Paper and plastic are traditional 1st year anniversary gifts, so if this is your first anniversary, even your plastic utensils and paper plates will fit into your date theme!
Pajama Party
Everyone loves to feel a little rebellious every once in a while. Take your honey out to buy each other some new PJs and wear them out on a date!
Sportsball Football Frenzy
If you and your partner enjoy football and are celebrating your third anniversary, this date is perfect for you! Leather is the traditional gift for third year anniversaries. Watch the movie leatherheads, then go out and play a game of touch football! I heard a rumor that some people like sportsball these types of activities.
Scavenger Hunt
Send your love on an adventure! Create a scavenger hunt, and along the way leave flowers with notes to explain what each flower means (make each a symbol of love, friendship, etc.). This makes for an exciting and meaningful date!
J + P = Love
Take your honey out for an extra cheesy date and carve your initials in a tree. If that’s too short, take the knives you use home and complete a whittling project together.
