In a about a month GenPink.com will have it’s 3rd birthday! In these 3 years I have had so much fun, and most certainly learned a lot about myself and so many others.
Tonight, I’m being featured on the local television because of this blog {update: you can watch it here}. It’s all a little surreal. So in honor of my almost blogiversary and tonight’s newcast I’ve decided to pull my favorite posts from the past 3 years.
I wonder how many GenPink readers have been with us since the beginning? I know at least a few that started in the blogging world about the time I did.
Some of my favorite GenPink posts (some written by me and some by guest bloggers):
- my month long guest post series on the ABCs of Gen Y: I chose 26 words, all representing one letter of the alphabet – A is for Activism, B is for Balance, etc and then researched out to my fellow 20something blogger community for input. I had no idea how much fun, and how much I was going to learn when I had this idea in April of 2008. A little birdie told me there’s plans for another series soon. {update: indeed there was another series – Collection of Top 10 Lists on many topics}
- When does Gen X end and Gen Y begin? what started as me researching out of curiosity has come to be my most popular post to date
- Things to do before your 30th (birthday) I wish I had saved all of the twitter comments that added to the conversation from this blog post.
- Twenty Something Advice: Don’t plan your life based on what other people expect: a great guest post by a college friend of mine
- What do you know in your 30s that you didn’t know in your 20s? are you seeing a trend yet?
- Twenty Something Advice: Make your goals measurable: I’ve been told I’m a “water is hard, rocks are wet results oriented girl” I’m not sure that I can confirm or deny these accusations but I am certainly a goal setter. I think you have to be in today’s competitive workforce.
- N is for Naked: a great guest post from the ABCs of Gen Y series.
- Do you call yourself a feminist?: a pretty intense debate came from this post
- Saying “No”: Men vs. Women: some of my best material has been sparked by one quote. This quote still gets me …
“When a man says no in this culture, it’s the end of the discussion. When a woman says no, it’s the beginning of a negotiation.” Gavin De Becker (author of The Gift of Fear) – as seen on Oprah’s episode Trusting Your Intuition. - 25 Questions You Should Ask Yourself Every Sunday
- Gen Y Generalized
- Things Every 18-Year-Old Should Know
- Twenty Something Advice: Is it time for a job change?
- Gen Y: Waking Up Unemployed
- Economic Mess: Are we better off than our parents?
And I’m sure I could keep going. Instead, if by some off chance that’s not enough reading for you, all you need to do is press [Browse] at the top of my blog and there are numerous topics to choose from.
So, my question to you GenPink readers – both first timers and veterans – what would you like to see next on GenPink?
