As a mom of two little ones, I am always on the hunt for free events and activities to keep them busy. With the wild winter weather we’ve experienced in the past few weeks, let’s just say they have been looking for energy outlets. With the warming temperatures expected for this weekend, the KidFilm Family Festival ranks very high on my list and I’m looking forward to attending!
This Saturday and Sunday, January 20 and 21, 2018, the oldest and largest children’s film festival in the United States is coming to Dallas at the Angelika Film Center. The KidFilm Family Festival is presented by the USA Film Festival and will showcase some of our favorite children’s book authors and illustrators. All programs will be presented for free through the generosity of the festival sponsors and supported in part by the City of Dallas Office of Cultural Affairs and the Texas Commission on the Arts.
Special guests include Barney Saltzberg, Ame Dyckman and Jacqueline K. Ogburn. In addition to showing short films, there will be free books (while supplies last), book signing, sing-along, book reading, and snack packs provided courtesy of Whole Foods.
Tickets for all shows are free for children and adults and seating will be limited.
Tickets are available on day-of-show only, beginning one hour prior to show time at the Angelika Film Center (5321 N. Mockingbird Lane, Dallas) KidFilm Box Office located upstairs. For additional information including program times, click here.
