GenPink Meets Candy Goddess Dylan Lauren + Book Giveaway

(Thanks to all who entered the giveaway. This contest has concluded, and our winner is Huong Vo from Dallas, Texas.)

We were so excited to meet Dylan Lauren, CEO and founder of Dylan’s Candy Bar, and she’s Ralph Lauren’s daughter (one of our favorite brands!) She’s helped pave the way for female entrepreneurs all across America and is a role model to many women. Dylan is currently on a tour to share her book, Dylan’s Candy Bar- Unwrap Your Sweet Life, with fans and promote her new holiday candy line. The Dallas tour stopped at the Neiman Marcus store inside North Park Mall.

We had the chance to interview Dylan and get our books signed by her. And for a sweet treat to our readers, we are giving away an autographed copy of Dylan’s book!

  1. I work in children’s book publishing and I’m inspired on a daily basis by our authors and illustrators and the beautiful books they create with powerful messages. I’m also inspired by kid’s who read — their imaginations are why I have a job!

  2. This looks like an amazing book!  I live near one of her stores and everything is simply delicious..a candy store mecca!  I am even trying for my niece to have her 6th birthday party there…I know she would be in heaven!  I would just love to win a copy of her book.  Thanks!

Regarding career inspirations, I am always inspired by women (and men) who make a difference by following their heart and living out their true passion in life. I am also inspired by people who start with a simple little idea and the steps they go through to reach success!

  3. Dylan really is inspirational and she’s right. Following your passions is everything because in the end, it’s not about the money. It’s about doing what you love. What inspires me in my career path are the people around me. The people I work with (no matter how busy they are,) are so passionate and amazing at what they do and they do not hesistate to tell me that they are here to teach me and that they are here to support me on whichever career path I choose. Passionate people are my inspiration!
